Health Project
Due to a lack of financial resources and awareness, the local villagers often neglected their health issues. In response, Tender Heart initiated comprehensive health camps aimed at providing essential medical check-ups and educating the community about the importance of personal hygiene.
A significant area of concern was menstrual health and hygiene, particularly for women workers and girl children attending slum schools. Recognizing the deep-rooted cultural taboos and the discomfort associated with discussing menstruation, we undertook targeted initiatives to demystify the topic and foster a more open and supportive environment for addressing related issues. As an extension of this approach, Tender Heart established its own production unit for sanitary napkins. These oxy-biodegradable pads, marketed under the brand name 'Zena', are designed to be both environmentally friendly and affordable. In an effort to ensure that no woman compromises her health due to financial constraints, we distribute these sanitary napkins free of charge to rural women when necessary. Our efforts aim to enhance the overall health and well-being of the community by promoting a culture of awareness and proactive healthcare. By addressing critical health issues and providing sustainable solutions, Tender Heart is committed to empowering individuals, particularly women and young girls, to take control of their health and lead healthier, more informed lives.
