OUR STORY

Tender Heart's founder & director, Ms. Renu Bali, a highly qualified educator, served as a lecturer in one of India's best university. When it all started, Renu realised to have been fortunate enough to receive quality education and decided to use it to support those who are devoid of educational opportunities. In 1995, in the pursuit of this vision, she left the world of comfort and self-growth, and walked into Bhatola village near Faridabad, at the time, one of the Indian cities with lowest literacy rate.
The community was not at all welcoming this change, especially as it was led by a woman. Tender Heart stood strong against the constant threats of the village residents.
Starting with just two students, children of a milkman, who wanted them to learn English, Tender Heart now has over 400 students belonging to the underprivileged community.
